Following Restylane Lyft treatment, some patients experience headaches or injection site lumps, redness, discomfort, swelling, bruising, and itching. These side effects are typically mild and tend to resolve within one to two weeks depending on the location of the injections. In rare cases, patients have experienced more severe side effects, including delayed infections, superficial necrosis at the site of the injection, or a recurrence of herpetic lesions.

There is a small risk that the gel could be inadvertently injected into a blood vessel. This can cause potentially permanent complications, such as blindness or other vision abnormalities, stroke, or scarring.
